at 36th and France Avenues in Robbinsdale. |
July 2004—A new four-unit townhouse building and a new 18-unit condominium have been approved for the planned BRT station at 36th Avenue in Robbinsdale.
The city’s community development director, Bill Deblon, said the privately developed buildings are “consistent with the new station-area master plan” for 36th and France.
The developer for both properties, Master Development Group in joint venture with Foundation Land Development, specializes in infill projects served by transit and is completing a similar condo building along the Hiawatha LRT corridor at 38th Street in Minneapolis.
Charlie Nestor, vice president and director of real estate for Master Development, said the new buildings, to be located on two contiguous empty lots at France Ave. and Grimes, could be completed in May 2005. The developer expects to close on both properties by mid-August.
Their total value will top $4 million, said Nestor. Townhomes will sell for $225,000; condos will range between $165,000 and $225,000.
